The 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Has Been Announced!

There's no denying that drivers from Gadsden to Chattanooga to Boaz and everywhere around absolutely love the Jeep Wrangler; it's been around for a very long time in one form or another and, recently, the automaker announced an all-new version of this off-road champion: the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL!

Outwardly, the Wrangler JL doesn't look too different from its standard sibling; the headlights invade on the seven front slots just a bit, there's a full-length rain gutter, and the grille gets a slightly different shape but, mostly otherwise, it keeps a familiar appearance. It's a bit bigger overall too, with Mark Allen - head of Jeep brand design - stating that every piece of glass in the Wrangler JL is larger than that of the previous Wrangler.

On the performance side of things, the Wrangler JL provides a maximum tow rating of 2,000 pounds for the two-door model and 3,500 pounds of the four-door model. The base engine will be a 3.6-liter V6 hitting 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, but there's a diesel engine option coming for the 2019 model that's rated at 260 horsepower and a staggering 442 lb-ft of torque. Last but not least, the third engine option will be a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with eTorque assist for 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. No matter which one you choose, you'll be taking on any challenges in Albertville like a pro.

While we wait for the Wrangler JL to arrive later on, we welcome everyone from Scottsboro and far beyond to come check out the current selection of new Jeep models at our Fort Payne, AL dealership. We even have a selection of new Wrangler JK models for your perusing pleasure but, no matter what appeals to your needs, we'll be at your side with the assistance you deserve.
